By “crashing”, you mean blowing up (your entire solar farm), and not like crashing the server, right? Haven’t played something after 1.23 yet, just curious.
Nah, after 1 full cycle the whole server would crash, I had to go in with mcedit and delete the reactor block so the server would load. Lots of wasted resources but i new the risks and then there is a patch the same day XD just my luck, oh well thanks for fixing it Alblaka I’ll make a new one now 🙂
I dont guess that a hotfix for the GUI for the electric and iron furnace is included in this is it? (already change the id’s myself just wondering if there is an official hotfix for the problem)
This is why I waited for a few days, I expected there to be some sort of crash bug (no offense, but notably my caution served me well). Now that it’s safe to download, time to have fun….
You’re saying that you’ve force-directed redstone wire towards your batbox (or placed an active switch/Red-torch next to it such that it should be signaled) and it’s discharging when not full? (The signal tells it to fill up first, THEN discharge any excess; if you wanted a way of completely powering on/off use the special cables)
The entire team for getting 1.0.0 out and then for fixing the resulting bugs that were discovered with wider testing.
Great job; though maybe next time the release can be a tiny bit earlier in the process and labeled accordingly. Something similar to the release candidate (various places) / pre (eg linux kernel naming scheme) versions of software, it’s intended to work, might be the final product, but needs more testing. This would give the various modders and other mod integration time to integrate, test, and validate a release; plus it allows adventurous community members to forge ahead and run in to exactly the kind of bugs this hotfix addresses. If you’re worried about drive-by click-through users getting the unstable version there’s an easier fix. Make the latest version the big easily seen top of page information on the version page, then the ‘it will blow up your computer’ pre-release and finally the archives beneath, both in smaller text.
The issue is, everyone would instantly jump onto the “pre” version and spam the forum/blog with bug reports.
Due to testing them in a closed group, bug report are of good quality and only occur once per bug, because those guys actually read other bug reports.
I COULD start making pre-releases, if the community could handle it. But i seriously doubt it can, based on what i see daily on blog&forum.

Nope, it was crashing servers with a NPE.

I don’t guess people bother clicking a link to read the changelog :O
It’s in.

I thought the batbox does not emit energy when connected with redstone wiring..
Why does this batbox emit energy anyway?

Always emit energy when full, regardless of redstone. Kinda “overflow” mechanic.
Will be altered to “Emit redstone upon full”, given you can regulate EU flow with splitter cables.
Thank you!

what about more beta testers >> little bit faster releases ? 😀
Most likely not.
Oh god, not prereleases.
Ill spend my weekend collecting ores that dont do anything except crash the game when I craft them. ;0
do’nt do pre-releases. Or i will come and maserate your PC
O.O
Albaka, I think we needs some ranged weapons. Nano- and Quantem-guns?
Quantum blade?
Return of the field generator?
Nah, i can just use the Mining Laser, rightclick while holding the Dev-Key, switchting it into “Endless Obliteration” mode.
Actually, the nano gun sounds more like a gun that would repair anyways…..
IMA FIRING MAH LAZER to repair this hole created by evil green creeper.
Now all the creepers hard work will be repaired!
Which will make all the creepers be like superduperultimatemegasadandrageface.
And endermen/dragon will be like WTFWHYUNODIESTUPIDNANGUNREPAIREDANDREPLACEDBLOCKSANDMAKEYOUUNKILLABLEOMGSUPERRAGEFACE
Lol.
Wait. There’s a super obliterate mode?
And the cows will be like: Moo
Nano-gun: a greifers worst nightmare.
If we do put in a nano gun that repairs/replaces blocks recently destroyed/damaged, it should only work on manufactured blocks.
Hmmm, Al, maybe we can use the nano-gun on all those idiots/noobs to make them smarter and fix their brains
There was a mod for that, wasn’t there? (Though it might not be updated just yet…)
