Now, stupid… because i can’t release an idea thread with the compressed awesomeness of my new mod.
So far i can tell you:
- It includes a new “Cement” block. Not the liquid, but the dehydrated sort. It acts like sand/gravel upon placed. And once you let some water flow above it, it will turn into a solid “Wall”-Block. You can further harden the Wall by rightclicking it with a tool to create a quite unbreakable block. Of course there will be an item to redo that process, it’s not like unremoveable bedrock 😉
- Level’ing and classes. Not as in Warrior/Mage/Rouge, but rather as in Gatherer/Miner/Builder/Siege Mechanic/Alchemist and stuff… I’ve coded the basic algorythm today and SSP-sided it works flawless.

Perhaps you should release the next version of IC on the blog seeing as the MC forum is still read only?
levels and classes sounds like fun. may I suggest having a chance to drop better items from mobs if u level a mob killing class? I like to slay monsters 🙂
When me and my friends play Industrial Craft we kind of already do that where we take the most experienced IC player and he is in charge of machines, then just about everyone else (depending on how many people we have) gets a job such as one person has a chainsaw and he gets wood, we have a couple people with drills and they mine, we have one or 2 people manning miner/miners, and then there is one person who is expanding the base/ adding reinforced stone. We do this to be really efficient, but I am hopeing you make it easier to organize with how you set this up.
awsome 😀 maybe you could make it like a base defence mod? or that every class can do special stuff what another class cant do 😀 soo that everybody is important youknow 😉 and I love the cement idea ^^
